We recommend building all garden buildings, even a playhouse on a secure and level base. This will help to combat grand moisture which can cause rising damp as well as any uneven pressure on your kids playhouse which could cause cracking and deterioration over time.
Increase, think about clearing and levelling your proposed playhouse site before sinking pavers in builders sand so that they’re the same height and level. You could even build a timber sub-frame or use our gravel-filled Ecobase foundation system. Our 4 x 4 playhouses also come with flooring as standard.
You won’t need planning permission for a playhouse so long as it’s no higher than 2.5m at the eaves and 4m at the highest point of a dual pitched roof. All of our BillyOh kids playhouses are built to coincide with these restrictions. Though, you can still check with your local council and even neighbours for any local variances.
